GIR Colloquium Series 2022
Public Administration, Security and International Interventions in Afghanistan
Presenter: Haroon Chakhansuri
Location: Room 341 Social Sciences Building (A02); and Zoom
In this presentation I will briefly discuss Afghanistan’s public administration regimes and their duration, and will also talk about international interventions and its impact on reginal and global security, with firsthand experience of my involvement at senior level government positions in the last 10 years. The public administration of Afghanistan is still facing many challenges such as regimes’ inconsistency, corruption, lack of cohesion in the vision, lack of defined responsibilities, lack of expertise, and lack of citizen involvement.
